Day 13: Leveling Up – Space, Strategy & Strength

Thirteen days in, and everything I do now is about growth, learning, and executing with precision.

Yesterday, 450 more flyers went out—but this time, it wasn’t just mass distribution. I’ve refined the targeting, focusing on high-value neighborhoods and potential clientele who are more likely to engage. Every single effort has to count, and I’m making sure that every flyer, every connection, and every conversation moves the business forward.

Today, I’m leveling up in multiple areas—business, training, and personal execution.

Big Moves Happening Right Now:

✅ Meeting About Renting a Gym Space – I have a scheduled meeting to discuss renting space for training clients. Having a dedicated space means I can offer a more professional, structured experience while also building credibility in the local fitness community. This is a major step, and I’m going into this meeting with a clear game plan—cost, flexibility, client capacity, and branding considerations.

✅ Considering a Part-Time Gym Job to Learn the Industry – This isn't about just getting another paycheck. It’s about learning the inner workings of a gym—the business model, member acquisition strategies, client retention, and how trainers operate within the system. Before building something of my own, I want to understand what works, what doesn’t, and how I can leverage that knowledge.

✅ 450 More Flyers Distributed Yesterday – I made sure they were placed correctly this time—no mailbox mistakes, no wasted materials. Instead, they went directly into the hands of the right people, in key neighborhoods where I know my target audience lives and works. Every marketing piece I put out now is strategic.

✅ Training with My Mentor/Coach – Push Day & Strategic Nutrition
Today’s session is focused on upper body push movements, dialing in the strength work that will translate into both performance and aesthetics. The competition prep is no longer just about lifting—it’s about strategic execution of every rep, set, and meal. At this point, nutrition is everything.

My workouts are now 90-120 minutes on average, balancing strength, hypertrophy, endurance, and recovery work to ensure I’m maximizing progress. The next phase is about locking in my macros, optimizing my intake for muscle retention and fat loss, and making sure I’m giving my body exactly what it needs to perform.

Key Numbers So Far:

📌 Total Flyers Distributed: 1,750

  • 400 flyers (Initial Distribution) – Incorrect placement (mailbox issue)

  • 450 flyers (Second Round) – Corrected distribution

  • 450 flyers (Third Round) – Targeted outreach in key neighborhoods

  • 450 flyers (Latest Round – Yesterday) – Strategic drop-off in high-potential areas

📞 Total Outreach Since Starting:

  • 130 emails sent to businesses for corporate wellness partnerships.

  • 130 LinkedIn messages sent to business leaders for potential collaborations.

  • 65 phone calls made to businesses and key decision-makers.

📝 Networking & Business Growth:

  • 4 hours working with my business mentor to refine strategy and execution.

  • Attended 1 major networking event as a trainer (Akron-Canton Foodbank Event)

  • Scheduled multiple follow-up meetings from networking event for Cappell Fitness

  • 1-on-1 mentor session with a personal trainer to absorb industry knowledge

  • Meeting scheduled to discuss renting a gym space for training clients

🏋️ Training & Personal Development:

  • Personal training sessions are now 90-120 minutes on average

  • Nutrition strategy now a major priority to optimize for lean muscle & recovery

Should I Share My Nutrition Plan?

Training is only part of the equation. What you fuel your body with determines the results. If you're interested in seeing a breakdown of my nutrition strategy—how I’m structuring my meals, my macros, and the foods I prioritize—let me know in the comments!

The Mission Today: Execute & Stay Locked In

🚀 Lock in my gym space meeting and evaluate if it's the right fit. I need to ask the right questions—how much flexibility will I have? What are the costs? How can I make this work long-term?

🚀 Continue outreach & expansion—more flyers, more conversations, and refining my messaging to land more clients. Each connection matters.

🚀 Focus on personal execution—pushing my own limits in training, refining my nutrition, and making sure I stay on track for competition prep. This is as much about proving what’s possible as it is about coaching others.

The foundation is being built. The structure is coming together. The work doesn’t stop.

This is only Day 13. Imagine where I’ll be on Day 100.
